Agent builder
An agent is a voice assistant owned by your workspace. You usually create one from the template gallery (New agent → pick a template — a ready-made prompt and tools for your kind of business) and then fine-tune it here. Everything you configure lives in a version, and versions are how Ciaomatic keeps live calls safe while you edit.
Configuration
Instructions
The system prompt for your agent — who it is, what it does, how it should behave. Markdown is supported. This is the most important field: be explicit about the business, opening hours, what the agent may and may not promise, and when it should use its tools.
Voice
How the agent sounds on the phone. Choose between ten voices: alloy, ash,
ballad, cedar, coral, echo, marin (default), sage, shimmer, and
verse.
Language & model
- Language — the language the agent speaks: Spanish (Spain es-ES, Latin America es-419, Rioplatense es-AR), English (en-US / en-GB), French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, or Auto-detect to follow the caller.
- Voice model — how the agent’s voice is powered: Best quality (default) for the most natural, capable voice, or Fast & efficient for lighter, quicker responses on simple, routine calls. Same minutes and pricing either way.
Tools & integration tools
Two cards in the builder:
- Tools — built-in actions, each with its own small config (see Tools).
- Integration tools — tools discovered from your connected integrations, enabled per version with checkboxes.
Drafts, publishing, and rollback
Each agent has at most one draft (editable) and one published (live) version.
- Edits autosave to the draft after a short pause — you’ll see “Saving…”, “Unsaved changes”, or “Draft saved” in the header. Live calls are never affected by draft edits.
- Publish atomically swaps the draft in: the old published version is archived, the draft becomes live.
- Version history lists every version, newest first. Click Restore on an archived version to roll back — this creates a new published version with that configuration. Your current draft, if any, is untouched.
Live calls only ever use the published version. If an agent has no published version yet, numbers can be assigned to it but callers won’t reach it until you publish.
Test calls
Click Test call, enter your phone number (international format, e.g.
+34600112233), and Ciaomatic calls you from one of your numbers. You’ll
be talking to the draft version (or the published one if no draft exists),
so you can rehearse changes before publishing.
- You need at least one active number in your workspace.
- The first call to a new number sends a one-time verification code — you can only test-call numbers you’ve verified as yours.
- Test calls are capped at 5 minutes and limited per day; they show up under the Test tab on the Calls page, flagged as test traffic, and are never billed.
Deleting an agent
The Danger zone card deletes the agent and all its versions permanently. Any numbers routed to it are detached (they stay in your workspace and can be assigned to another agent).
